How To Read The Ephemeris
The Ephemeris uses a font face named "ZodiacJaDy"
which may not be installed on your computer.
No big deal - you can still read the charts just fine
because when displayed without the Zodiac font,
plain character mnemonic symbols are displayed.
See the charts below.
Of course, if you don't have the Zodiac font, then you won't see the glyphs.
You can get the ZodiacJaDy TrueType font ZODIACJD.ttf. Linux users may need these: ZODIACJD.afm and ZODIACJD.t1a.
Orbs are expressed in pairs of numbers representing the applying and separating degrees
within range of the aspect degree.
For example, suppose Sun and Mars are 88 degrees apart. And tomorrow they're 89 degrees.
They're getting closer to 90 degrees - applying.
So, we'll use the 3.5 degree orb to determine if they're within aspect,
that is, if Sun is square Mars.
Orbs for Daily Transits are set at 3 degrees applying and 1 degree separating, for all aspects. Orbs for Ephemeris are set at 7 degrees applying and separating, for all aspects. Provisions are being made to allow custom settings by aspect and planet combinations.
