Introduction Greetings loyal readers! As habitual consumers of this column know, I endeavor to write these works on the new Moon prior to the Moon cycle to which each edition applies. Since this column corresponds to the “New Moon in Aries 2001” cycle, it began its gestation last month during the new Moon in Pisces. Pisces, the last sign in the zodiac, is the mutable water sign. Being the water element in the mutable mode, Pisces indicates extreme sensitivity (both psychically and emotionally). Because it is the last sign, there is an aura of wisdom to Pisces, and a stubbornness that comes of age. This Year’s New Moon in Pisces Hey, wait a minute – this is supposed to be a piece about new Moon in Aries. Why am I talking about last month’s new Moon in Pisces? Because something odd happened on this particular new Moon. I couldn’t possibly discuss it last month (which I wouldn’t have done in any event, because I was too sick with the flu to write so I simply re-printed an excellent letter from my friend Bob Lederman, which you should look up in the archive if you didn’t read it last month) because I had not yet experienced it. This year’s new Moon in Pisces occurred on February 23. When I awoke on that morning it seemed that everything felt permanently altered. The world felt different energetically. Everything looked the same, but felt substantially different. This feeling was not a temporary phenomenon. For the next few days I carefully observed my first intuitive feelings upon awakening in the morning, and that strange “you are in the twilight zone” energy was still there. I am used to it now, but I still recognize it as different from how everything was prior to the new Moon. I queried a few of my psychic friends here in New York City as to whether they noticed an energetic shift on the last new Moon, and whether that shift appeared to be enduring. All of them said that they did indeed feel such a shift on the morning of the new Moon, and agreed that this quantum change appears to be permanent. It isn’t that this energetic state change is bad – it’s just different somehow. It is difficult to explain, but perhaps if you think back to what you were doing on the morning of Friday, February 23rd perhaps it will come back to you. Seeking An Explanation of What Occurred Since I am extremely inquisitive by nature, naturally I have been desirous of learning exactly what caused this shift and what it means. I checked the ephemeris, but nothing terribly exciting jumped out at me. It is interesting to note that the Sun was square Mars on the day of the new Moon in Pisces. This aspect indicates abundant energy, often manifesting as impulsiveness. In fact, this influence heightens anger and can portend battles, wars and skirmishes (depending upon the aspects in individuals’ and nations’ charts). Yet it does not account for the feel of this transformed energy. The paranoid conspiracy theorist in me wonders if it is due to something the U.S. Government is doing with its evil HAARP technology. HAARP (High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is an experimental mind control project. Thousands of unsuspecting individuals throughout the world are subjected to high frequency and extra low frequency sound waves for mind control, electronic harassment and an outstanding parade of other horribles and vomit-inducing concepts. It is not an unimaginable coincidence that ELF waves are always detected in the presence of the Indian guru Sai Baba. Throngs of adoring hordes surround this man outside his opulent residences (while numerous accusations of his molestation of young boys are widely-known in Indian but are totally un-remarked upon by the CIA-controlled U.S. media), yet none seem to receive the enlightenment or the riches they desire. Sai Baba certainly does not share his any significant portion of his wealth with his devoted followers, yet they follow him by the thousands everywhere he goes. Can you say MIND CONTROL? Recently it has been suggested by an organization called Montauk Pulse that this same Sai Baba is agent of none other than our own National Security Agency, the good old NSA. God bless Amerika! But What Caused This Energy Shift and What Does It Mean? Paranoid conspiracies are all well and good, but I want an answer I can hang my hat on – such as a tarot card reading. For space reasons, I did a three (3) card reading. I picked one card to represent the situation itself, to tell us more about the situation and the nature of this energy shift. I picked one card as a frame to describe the general environment this energy is operating in. Last I picked a card to tell us what this energy’s challenges and opportunities are for all of us. All keywords and interpretations are taken directly from Gerd Ziegler’s masterpiece Tarot: Mirror of the Soul (because otherwise you would think I was making this up) and are based on the Aleister Crowley deck. “Swiftness” is the card for overcoming the hindrances which stand in our way… The blockage, represented by the square, transforms itself now into a large polished crystal, shimmering with the colors of the rainbow. If you state your own standpoint openly, directly and clearly, these hindrances can be transformed. Misunderstandings yield to clarity. You have found your own inner center and can present your position with emphasis and openness… A problem which has appeared insurmountable until now faces meaninglessly into the background because of your clarity. If you overcome the tendency to hesitate, and are prepared to call disturbing influences by name, you rob them of their power to restrict and hinder you. The rainbow, a symbol of wholeness, indicates that a process is coming to an end. You look back, realizing that the difficulties of the past have helped to bring the learning process to completion. Indications: The moment has come for you to define where you stand. If you are open and remain centered, misunderstandings will be cleared. Question: Is there anyone to whom you do not dare to openly state where you stand? Suggestion: Use this opportunity to open yourself up more to those people who mean something to you. Talk to them, or write letters. Affirmation: My openness and self-confidence opens the hearts of those I love. The white lotus is the symbol for love of a giving nature. It forms the base of the cups, which is blue, color of the element Water. Vertically through the cup flows a brilliant energy beam, uniting Earth and Cosmos. The cup is the medium which makes itself available for the coming together of the above and below, inner and outer. The Ace of Cups is the feminine counterpart to the Ace of Wands; open, receptive, surrendering; bearing the transformatory power of giving love. The upper and lower portions of the painting embody the same quality; below in the emotional realm of water, above in the ethereal sphere of the spirit. As above, so below. That which is internally felt expresses itself externally clearly and openly. Emotional clarity results, emphasized in the painting by its balance and harmony. The giving of love happens effortlessly. That which continually flows into us from the boundless abundance of the universe radiates outward again by itself, if we remain open and receptive. You can compare it with the flower which exudes its fragrance whether someone comes close to enjoy its perfume or not. This giving in not dependent on individual, perhaps close people. There is so much to share! All of existence can take part in it. Becoming one with the all-embracing, omnipresent love is such a silent ecstasy, a cosmic orgasm! Indications: You are in contact with all-embracing love. It fills you and you can pass it on generously, lavishly, to others! Question: What is your way of expressing love? Suggestion: Let the card work on you for a while. Read the last two paragraphs of the description again, and close your eyes. Feel yourself as an open channel for the divine energy. Affirmation: All-encompassing love fills me and my environment. The Knight of Disks is a master of health and material abundance. His diagnostic ability can be applied to the body, and also other material realms; money, finance, capital. In questions of health he is valuable in his capacity as a doctor and healer. In financial questions, his advice should be taken. On the card it is harvest time. The grain in the foreground is ripe. The Knight holds a thresher, he is bringing in the harvest. Harvest means toil as well as abundance. The small, invincible Knight is restricted in his stiff armor. The horse seems exhausted, as if after a long, hard ride. How difficult it is to make the inner wealth outwardly visible, and to harvest the fruits of these efforts! But the work is well worth the effort, if it is done in the service of personal growth. The Knight’s shield is surrounded by concentric circles of sunlight which transform the brown hills in the background into the green or renewed creativity. The stag’s head and upturned visor on his helmet emphasize his expanded perception. Spiritual powers are closely bound with the earth and offered in service to her… The earth lends them form and structure which are necessary in order to implement these powers in dealing with earthy, physical being. This structure can be all too often experienced as binding by the spirit longing for limitlessness and independence. The boundless freedom the spirit seeks will not, however, be found in fleeing the demands of the material realities of the world around us. Freedom develops through our surrender, with love and service, to all dimensions of earthly life. Indications: Now is the time to set your abilities to work in service of some kind. The tasks before you are large and demand the use of all your powers. If you make the effort, the harvest will reward you richly. Question: Are there tasks you would like to avoid in your life? Suggestion: Whenever things seem to be too much trouble for you, concentrate on the positive results of your actions for you and for others. Your internal learning and growing process is the most important outcome, more important than that which you achieve by your actions. Affirmation: With every task that comes my way, comes also the energy needed to accomplish it. Conclusion So the Eight of Wands is telling us this energy shift that began with the new Moon in Pisces is about achieving clarity through removing energetic blockages. This will clear up misunderstandings and bring people into wholeness. The Ace of Cups is telling us the environment this energy shift is operating in is one of overflowing love, giving and emotional clarity. This leads to effortless giving in an atmosphere of openness and receptiveness. The Knight of Disks is telling us that our challenges and opportunities are to heal ourselves and others, and bring this healing, along with material wealth and abundance, to the entire planet. So perhaps my endless prophecies about world peace and global harmony are coming true after all! |
