     Introduction

     Greetings loyal readers! As I write this on the new Moon in Taurus, I cannot help but reflect upon the events surrounding the FTAA (Free Trade Agreement of the Americas) summit that took place during the weekend of April 20. As with prior summits designed to destroy the word's environment and further exploit the world's workers solely to advance the psychopathic and sociopathic greed of the world's wealthiest corporations and the families that control them, the police state was out in force once again. Although some demonstrators provoked violence through rock throwing, the Quebec police used tear gas, clubs, rubber bullets and water cannons on thousands of peaceful demonstrators. The continued willful disregard on the part of world leaders of the protesters' views creates a massive educational challenge to all human beings who care about clean air, clean water, living wages, dignified treatment and equal opportunity.

     Deconstructing Shrub

     Observing our pretender president's reactions to the FTAA events in Quebec was truly fascinating. Once again he made the establishment's case that anyone opposed to trade is just plain ignorant. Notice how the Lizard King deliberately misses the point. The Quebec demonstrators, like the Davo, Prague, Washington D.C. and Seattle protesters before them, are not opposed to trade. Rather, they are opposed to free trade. The reason all of these people and their supporters around the world are opposed to free trade is because free trade is antithetical to fair trade. Free trade, as evidenced by NAFTA and WTO and World Bank free market ideologies, has resulted in unfettered air and water pollution, worker exploitation and unemployment in countries that have sound labor laws.

     One of the most horrendous results of NAFTA is the fact that local governments, attempting to enforce environmental laws (designed for the health and safety of all living beings on this planet) have actually been fined by world courts when challenging violations of those laws by wealthy corporations. The world adjudicative bodies are ruling that local health and safety laws violate NAFTA through interference with corporate profits. The public policy of protecting natural resources from pollution is apparently subordinate to the rights of global corporations to pollute this planet freely while destroying the health and well being of the very same workers who create those profits for them. So now we have a situation where corporate profits, obtained through the wanton destruction of planetary resources and abused, degradation and exploitation of human labor are adjudicated to be superior to the rights of local governments to legislate the health and safety of human beings, animals, plants and other natural resources.

     In other words, this planet is being governed by insane people willing to misuse their power in order to destroy the future of this planet and all of its inhabitants simply to increase their material wealth in this life. The ultimate irony is that these lunatics are already the wealthiest people on the planet! Is it wealth that has robbed them of their humanity, or the pathological compulsion driving them to seek more of it for no apparent reason other than their own insatiable egos?

     What Democracy?

     Was anyone else struck dumb by Thief-in-Chief Shrub's statement that the only country in North and South America not present at the FTAA summit was Cuba "because Cuba doesn't support democracy"? Let me hasten to point out that the United States doesn't support democracy either! We have a president who was appointed by a plurality of the Supreme Court that was either appointed by Shrub's father or financially beholden to some member of the Bush family. Journalistic recounts from several sources, domestic and foreign, have clearly demonstrated that Al Gore (distasteful as he is!) was the winner of both the popular and electoral votes. (And what, of course, is the electoral college but a way to assure that rural white folks will always have disproportionate electoral power so we don't actually have participatory democracy in this country.)

     In fact, Gore would have won by an even more sizable margin had there not been so many thousands of black and other minority voters disenfranchised throughout the country through illegal roadblocks, faulty voting machinery, lack of translators, false felon records and heaven knows what other illegal tactics. The simple fact is that there are no democratically elected national leaders anywhere on this planet. Democracy may exist at the local level in small towns and municipalities, but wherever there are races with big money involved there is major media manipulation and monumental corruption.

     Interesting Battles to Come

     The good news is that His Dimness, our moronic, illiterate and frequently unintelligible presidential pretender, is going to continue to encounter opposition to his ill-advised tax cut from unexpected factions within his own party. A small group of Republicans in the House has joined with a group of Democrats in the Senate to put Shrub's feet to the fire on education (remember those campaign promises to be the education president?) and they're using Boy George's proposed tax cut to do it. The reasoning involved is economically sound and politically brilliant.

     What these renegades are saying is that the best way to provide tax relief to the average American is to greatly increase (pardon the split infinitive) the federal education budget, particularly with regard to special education. Local school districts are required by law to educate all children, including those with special needs. Yet catering to physically, mentally and emotionally challenged children is very expensive, and is a huge drain on state and local board of education budgets. A huge influx of funds from the federal government earmarked for general and special education would go a very long way toward reducing the average American's tax burden due to the amount of state and local taxes that go to support education.

     There is another major advantage to this plan. Increasing the federal government's educational budget will not destroy the US economy and launch the greatest federal deficit since President Reagan (the stupidest American president in history until our present moron) initiated the tax cut that created the largest federal deficit in US history. Logic suggests that, since George is even dumber than Ronnie (without having Alzheimer's disease as an excuse – or at least an explanation!), we can expect George's proposed tax cut to create a bigger deficit than Ronnie's did. Logic is not always right, of course. But the one thing we know for sure is that George W. Bush is the stupidest president in American history, and the fact that he received any votes at all is a testament to the stupidity of certain factions of the US electorate.

     Scary Prediction

     The one thing that extremist right wing Republicans can always be counted on for is to provide the rest of us with entertainment as they vie with each other to be the most extreme, least compassionate and most absurd. And the one thing that the black operations shadow government can always be counted on is to step in when things get too out of hand. For example, back in 1981 when Ronald Reagan forgot he was the shadow government's puppet and started believing he was actually the president, they sent John Hinckley in to wound him.

     John Hinckley came from Colorado, a major hub of New World Order mind control experiments. He came from a prominent, wealthy NWO family. Like Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, John Chapman and many others before him, Hinckley was a patsy – a mind-controlled pawn, a Manchurian candidate programmed for a mission. If the shadow government had wanted Ronnie dead, he would have been dead. The reason they only wanted to wound him was to send Ron a message that if he wanted to live he had better play their game and do what they told him. Ronnie, ever the actor, somehow forgot that he was merely playing the part of president -- which was why the Republicans selected an actor in the first place! The NWO reminded him that he was merely their puppet, and that death was the price of forgetting that lesson. They wanted a friendly, personable moron as their ideal puppet. Does "friendly, personable moron" remind you of a current US president?

     Spurious George is clearly smart enough to know that he is a puppet. However, he may be far to stupid to think that he is not an expendable one. After all, George W. sees himself as American royalty. George Sr. may be running the country (don't you find it interesting that mini-George refuses to discuss his daily father-son conversations with the press?) but Spurious George believes that the presidency is his as a matter or right. He also thinks that because he is a Bush the shadow government will never assassinate him. Little Georgie could not be more wrong. George Sr. is sufficiently evil that he would gladly sacrifice his mentally deficient son if Junior's manifest stupidity does anything to threaten the supremacy of the Bush family or the NWO. So if the Pea-Brained Pretender gets killed in office (which could well be before the end of 2001) it will be the shadow government that pulls the trigger, but Shrub's own arrogance and stupidity that kills him.

     The brilliant and oh-so-talented political humorist Barry Crimmins (http://www.barrycrimmins.com) says that if any of us pass Dick Cheney on the street it is our civic duty to startle him. Cheney's heart problem will either kill or incapacitate him before he can occupy the Oval Office for any appreciable length of time (if indeed he gets to occupy it at all). This will leave us with Dennis Hastert, Speaker of the House. Hastert is cut from the same cloth of evil, compassionless sociopathology that governs now. The good news is that nothing rallies the forces of good like the presence of such sheer unadulterated evil.

     Now for the Good News

     I know that many of you are not pleased when this column gets too dark and brooding. Yet the darkness must first be faced and acknowledged in order to be eradicated. The masses of people that once again braved tear gas, clubs, water cannon and the unrestrained bestiality of the police state will be out in force for the next global meeting of world leaders intent on assaulting all of our rights and decreasing the quality of all our lives to enhance the quality of their own. We must continue to organize, protest and educate ourselves, each other and the world at large so we can recover this planet for all the loving creatures of creation and resume our own and this planet's spiritual evolution.
