Introduction Greetings loyal readers! New moon in Leo is a time of great energy and enthusiasm. It favors impulsivity, ambition and artistic creativity. This is a wonderful time to throw a party, stage a play, have a concert or host a salon. It is also a good time for a writing workshop or other collaborative endeavor. Fascism in Action The increasing militarization of the police, and the increasing complicity by judges and juries of outright executions of innocent people (usually of color) by law enforcement is leading the United States of America ever more perilously close to full-blown fascism. Recent polls suggest that support for the death penalty among the general US American public is not nearly so high as the hanging judges claim in their apologist opinions. Increasingly judges are overturning jury verdicts of life in prison without parole and imposing capital sentences, rationalizing such barbarism by claiming that this is what the public wants them to do. This goes totally against the grain of the judicial system set up by the Founders whom the rabid right claims to honor so dearly. In the 18th century a jury verdict was final. Judges considered themselves powerless to overturn a jury's verdict. Why? A jury was supposed to be comprised of one's peers. This let the people administer justice directly. Because a jury verdict was considered to be the voice of one's peers, it was held to be sacred. Back then, people actually believed in things such as participatory democracy. So why are we now facing an increasingly militarized police state? Why are the police, who are paid with taxpayer money to keep ordinary citizens safe, increasingly viewing civilians as "the enemy" and blowing them away without a second thought? It's because of the difference between the civilian police and the military. The police are supposed to exercise cautioned restraint in dealing with civil matters. Although the vast majority of them in this country seem to have trouble finding this restraint when confronted with people of color, they seem to have no trouble exercising it when the crazed lunatic holding a gun to his wife's head is a police officer. The military, on the other hand, are trained to use firepower. They are trained to "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out." Needless to say, this credo is completely sociopathic. In order to function effectively in a military combat situation, one has to have absolutely no sense of the "enemy's" humanity. The only way for military people to effectively do this is to erase their own humanity, and erase it completely. Traditionally the military have never been involved in domestic policing in the USA. Increasing, however, local law enforcement all over the country is being trained, and in many cases infiltrated, by the military. Many police officers in New York City and cities all across the nation are working with special FBI task forces. These task forces are giving them military training to enable them to subjugate mass demonstrations of peaceful civilians. And why are they anticipating such large gatherings of people exercising their First Amendment rights to express their displeasure about the status quo? Because they know how miserable people's lives are becoming in this country, especially in urban areas. New York City's economy is in a full-blown depression, and it has been for months. Philadelphia's economy has been in a depression for years, and let's not even talk about Detroit. (Michael Moore has done enough of that, and I highly recommend that you read his books and essays and see his movies on this subject if you haven't already.) So what is really going on here? The New World Order, which has been manipulating economies and increasing human misery on the planet for generations, is getting ready to implement their global fascism program. They have several kinds of what they mendaciously term "non-lethal weapons" (which not only can be lethal, but can leave people with permanent physical, mental and emotional damage, as well as causing great destruction to property) for population control. What do they want? They want to make us all slaves, so they can rule the world and we can all live in misery while providing what they need for their lavish and decadent lifestyles. This satisfies their greed and lust for power, while giving vent to their unbridled sadism and cruelty. Clearly our global rulers are completely insane. What has driven them insane? Greed. Compulsive, unearthly, insatiable greed. We live in a society where greed rules supreme. Anything that furthers the creation of excessive profits in the speculative economy (that is, making money through investments, as opposed to actually producing tangible goods and services), whether it be environmental pollution, displacement of native peoples, worker exploitation or out-and-out theft, is considered sacred to the most holy god of the Market. The current market crashes, along with the unraveling of the telecommunications industry (and man, was that ever overdue!) are making people all over the planet question the wisdom of a personal and professional credo of unenlightened self-interest at the expense of the rest of the Universe we are so clearly connected to. The homeland security nonsense currently being forced upon us by the Bush Administration has been planned for years and major pieces of it were implemented during the Clinton Administration. Police State America furnishes these important details in an eminently readable format. So What Do We Do About It? You've probably been wondering when I was going to get around to discussing this column's title. How do we defend ourselves against an increasingly dehumanized and sociopathic military that views us as the enemy and is willing to kill, maim and torture us in massive numbers without the slightest remorse? How can we resist electromagnetic weapons designed to immobilize us with excruciating pain or put us into a temporary or permanent coma? This may sound really "way out," but the answer is simple. We must view our oppressors with understanding. When we recognize that these are people who have had their humanity systematically excised through deviant behavior, we can find love and compassion for them. The energy of cruelty injures the cruel even more than it injures the objects of their cruelty. The pain and suffering our rulers in the global corporate-controlled mafia governments inflict redounds to their karma. The horrors they take such pleasure in creating are racking up a huge karmic bill that will come due sooner than any of them think. Consciously sending love to the "heartbreakers" (Barbara Hartwell's excellent term) on this planet, we set up energy fields that serve to heal, energize and protect us. Why? Because the darkness shrinks from the light. The last thing the heartbreakers want is genuine love. It is toxic to their negativity. By sending positive energy to those that radiate massive amounts of negative energy, the positive energy you send bounces back and returns to you magnified. This sets up a positive energy field that acts as a shield. The more people learn to utilize these techniques, the more of a synergy is created by the energy of so many intelligences working together at once. Nothing is impossible. We have been socialized by western science to believe we are limited in our powers, and therefore must accept the horrific conditions the New World Order has decreed for us. However, through spiritual awareness we can recover our lost gifts of multidimensional consciousness and the great power available to us through unconditional love, and compassion. This is the path to wisdom. Wisdom is the path to our freedom. Now is the time for us to take responsibility for controlling our thoughtforms. We must consciously send healing energy all over the planet – even to our oppressors. We need to do this at least once a day – multiple times is optimal. To heal our planet, we must all heal ourselves. The worse the world gets, the more important it is for us to do this. Remember, the Good Book says the good guys win in the end.
