The Cleansing Power of Comets
Introduction
Greetings USED KARMA readers! The new Moon in Taurus is an excellent time to begin projects that will endure for a long time. The fixed earth sign, Taurus is nurturing, practical and extremely fertile. Moon in Taurus is an excellent time to shop for quality and durability. Since Taurus is a powerful sign for grounding and nourishing, the Moon is exalted in this sign. May 1, also known as May Day, is the midpoint of spring. All the seasonal midpoints are powerful energies, which is why indigenous and pagan peoples celebrate these events worldwide. The new Moon in Taurus occurs on May 6, at the height of spring. So if you want to create something that will last, this is a good time to begin such a venture.
Still More About Pluto in Sagittarius
Regular readers of this column and this publication know that last year Pluto went into Sagittarius for an extended stay. Pluto is the planet of restructuring, reorganization, change, growth, transformation and power. Sagittarius, the mutable fire sign, rules the law. Sagittarius seeks justice and the truth. Pluto in Sagittarius cleanses dark corners and brings long-hidden truths to light. Over the past year this column has routinely examined how current events worldwide continue to illustrate the powerful effects of this transit.
For example, the tobacco companies have denied for years that their products are hazardous and deadly. The fact that no one believed them indicates just how brazenly, persistently and remorselessly they have lied to the public for decades about killing people with their products. So why have they decided to come clean now? Could it be Pluto in Sagittarius? You decide.
Being the ruler of the law, Sagittarius is inherently political. Thus the recent political finance scandals abound not only in the United States (where President Clinton and Vice President Gore are probably wishing they could hide under a plastic cover for a while until all the horrible revelations about Democratic fundraising activities in Asia and elsewhere go away) but all over the world. Fraud and finance scandals are rocking the leaders of Mexico, England, Italy and Turkey, to name a few. There will be more such scandals by the time this issue goes to cyberspace, so look for them in your regular sources of news and current events.
More Outrageous Predictions
Regular readers will recall that several months ago this column prognosticated rapid changes in political power around the globe. This is still happening, and will continue to happen. For example, Africa's largest country, Zaire, appears to be imploding politically. Watch for more bloodshed and refugees as that country devolves into several different factions struggling for power.
Russia is the place to watch for the next cycle. I see a serious power vacuum there within six months. Like most sane psychics, I am reluctant to make predictions with too much specificity. This is for two reasons. One, I believe that free will exists - therefore no outcome is unavoidable or set in stone. The second reason is that I will look really foolish if I say something specific that turns out to be wrong. However, I am going to do it anyway. (The reason is there have been several times when I have made very detailed predictions that seems ridiculous at the time - until they turned out to be right.)
When I look into the last quarter of 1997 at Russia I see Boris Yeltsin on the other side due to what appear to be natural causes. The reason this will leave a power vacuum is because he will leave with no clear path of succession. Yeltsin is a serious control freak who, like most Russians of his generation, does not understand democracy. He does, however, understand dictatorship and the abuse of power. Yeltsin has been carefully realigning his internal power structure to insulate himself from dissent and opposition. He has dismissed several close advisors already. However, he is going to leave the form later this year before this process is completed. The result will be an interesting sort of chaos for Russia.
Again, this sounds really crazy and I can hardly believe I am actually having the nerve to write this down and publish it, but Yeltsin's death and the subsequent governmental power vacuum will actually redound to the people's benefit. Last March hundreds of thousands of Russian workers marched in coordinated protests all around the country - hundreds of thousands! When the power vacuum occurs, the people will start cooperating in ways previously unheard of in human history on such a grand scale. Since this column has consistently predicted a rise in the understanding of mass consciousness, these predictions about Russia now seem less outrageous - at least to me.
Here is a more mundane prediction on the domestic front. Recent advances in Intranet and data warehousing technology have made it possible for corporations to organize, store and access enormous volumes of information as never before. This has been a tremendous boon to business. For the duration of 1997 and beyond, this technology is going to prove to be a boon to Government agencies seeking to uncover fraud and illegal activity. While United States Government agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency do not have information professionals on their staff who can utilize this technology, they are increasingly hiring consultants from the private sector to do this kind of work for them.
The proliferation of masses of well-organized and easily-accessed corporate information is going to make it easier for administrative agencies to uncover fraud and wrongdoing. Watch for many more scandals on the business pages of whatever you read and the on the business programs you watch on television and/or listen to on the radio as more and more Government agencies try to grab glory and headlines by hoisting evil corporations on their own informational petards. The next six to eight months are going to be particularly rife with this kind of activity. It is all part of the cleansing action of the Hale-Bopp Comet.
The Hale-Bopp Comet
It is ironic that a well-known cleaning agent is called “Comet,” since comets always have a very cleansing effect on the civilizations they visit. The Hale-Bopp Comet is no exception. A spectacularly bright and beautiful collection of ice and gases, Hale-Bopp was visible in all its glory to the naked eye earlier this year. This comet is bigger and visited us longer than last year's comet, Hyakutake. As a result, the Hale-Bopp Comet is having a more profound effect on human affairs than last year's comet.
The Hale-Bopp Comet is blasting dysfunctional relationships to bits. Many people who have been unhappily married for years are suddenly getting divorced. People whose relationships have not been moving forward are breaking up. People who have been harboring repressed rage are suddenly having huge fights with the very people who have angered them. People who are in good relationships are finding that those relationships are not only improving, but are reaching levels far beyond anything they could have imagined. And many of the spring-fevered people entering new relationships are finding them to be immensely karmic and incredible.
In addition, the Hale-Bopp Comet is fueling Pluto's ride through Sagittarius in an interesting way. While fascinating information has been surfacing continually throughout the last year of this aspect, suddenly the darkest forces of denial - such as the tobacco companies - are bringing the truth to light. The tobacco revelations are merely the first layer of the process of uncovering massive and dark deceptions practiced upon the public. In fact, the energy of opening this truth is actually making it easier for darker, more sinister truths to emerge. As regular readers know, earlier this year I predicted that 1997 is the year that the United States Government will be forced to tell us the truth not only about the presence of extraterrestrial species visiting this planet, but about our Government's complicity in using United States citizens as laboratory animals for alien genetic experiments. The Hale-Bopp Comet is assisting in this process.
In the same vein, people around the world are going to realize en masse that their leaders are not who they think they are. In other words, if the peoples of the world's nations knew the full extent of their rulers' moral depravity, they would depose them as swiftly as Ecuador deposed its last president. The energies of the Hale-Bopp Comet, combined with those of Pluto in Sagittarius, are setting the stage for this shift in consciousness to occur.
For those of you wanting examples of what I mean by moral depravity, consider the following facts. Three of the four ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) agents killed in the Branch Davidian fiasco in Waco, Texas were former Arkansas State Troopers who had served as bodyguards in the Governor's mansion when Bill Clinton held that office. Naturally these men were privy to all kinds of personal information about the Clintons. Regular readers will recall that past issues of this column have examined the Clinton family's privacy paranoia. Does it strain credulity to believe that Bill Clinton had these men killed? I think not. (Write me and tell me what you think.)
When Commerce Secretary Ron Brown was killed overseas the President gave a magnificent performance, complete with crocodile tears. However, it was well-known in Washington political circles that Ron Brown was about to be indicted for fraudulent and unethical activity related to misuse of his political influence. Does this sound strangely like the Administration's current problems in the realm of influence peddling? Does Ron Brown's death seem any less suspicious than the deaths of the three former Arkansas state troopers? Are there any lengths to which Bill Clinton will not go to shield his Administration from scandal?
The Chinese, after all, have been consistently shocked at how low the Clinton Administration's prices are for gaining access to the White House. So it isn't bad enough that we have a President and Vice President who blatantly sell influence, but they do it at bargain basement prices to boot! How tacky can you get? Yet Bill Clinton's people had the nerve to call Paula Jones “trailer trash!” What do they think Bill Clinton is? (I wonder if the Chinese have a linguistic equivalent for “trailer trash.”)
If you are honest with your own feelings and treat people with respect, you should have a wonderful ride on the Hale-Bopp Comet as it passes through our reality doing our mental, emotional and spiritual spring cleaning. If you are harboring unresolved feelings, or are manipulating, abusing or otherwise mistreating people, you can expect to have a very rough time over the next few months. Watch the current Administration and its cronies get into more hot water as time goes by.
Of course, I like to believe that Psychicbabble readers are a special breed of evolved human, so naturally I expect that each and every one of you is having as wonderful a time as I am (and I assure you, I am having a wonderful time). If the Comet is stirring up dirty waters for you, then know this is happening so they can be cleansed. I wish all of you peace, love and success. May all your dreams come true!
